One adult tree can produce more than 600 fruits per curl. From the fruit is possible to extract an oil with a lot of carotene (A pro-vitamin) and it is used as natural sun protection.

After had grown it liberate 7-9 seeds, in general thick and polygonal, thin internally and convex externally. The interior contains a white mass(somewhat pink) that has an oil. |

.: .: Açaí :. :. Açaí is a palm from the north of Brazil. For the Indians is knew as “içá-çaí” (the fruit that cries). It is typical from Amazônia and is spread all over this region. It appears in Maranhão, Guiana and Venezuela. The main product extracted from acaí is “wine”, it is a juice made with the fruit’s peel. This “wine” has the grape’s juice color.
This juice is dense and very apologized in the region. It is energetic and very nutritive. Habitants of Belém do Pará drink it with madioca’s flour and sugar.
Acaí produces a flavorful palmito that has been industrialized in last years. There are two kind of Acaí: purple and white. The purple one has wine color and it justify the juice’s name. From white Acaí we have a kind of white juice. In south and southeast regions Acaí is being popularized as a nutritive complement mainly for that people that wants physical force.
